STIMULATING YOUR EYES ONE PIXEL AT A TIME

How many final pictures will I get?The amount of images depend on a few factors. The amount of time, weather, organization and willingness of you and your guests. Considering these factors, it's nearly impossible to say how many you'll get. I do not put a limit to the amount of shots taken or limit how many you will receive.
-
What is your style of photography?I like to catch you, your guests, or family in the moment. I don't like to force you to smile or pose. If you're not big on smiling, then that's ok. You'll love your photos more because you'll look natural! If you're worried about your children not paying attention to the camera, they don't have to. I want your children to be themselves! Playing, smiling, temper tantrums...everything!
-
Do you travel?Yes, I do! I travel to surrounding areas like Orcas Island, Friday Harbor, Seattle, Bellingham, and Portland. I do charge a travel fee and depending on the distance, I may require overnight accommodations. Feel free to email me for more details regarding the travel fee.
-
Have you been to this venue or location?I've been to a lot of venues, but if I haven't, I will show up about an hour earlier of my starting time to do a walk through at no extra charge. Natural lighting of the venue changes with the seasons and by visiting an hour prior, it gives me more than enough time to accurately plan out my shots and find key locations for the day. If you're doing a family session at a location that I haven't been to it it requires a hike, we'll treat it as an adventure! I will photograph you and your family during the hike and at the final location!
-
We're camera shy! Can you help!?Yes! I will help you get comfortable in front of the camera. I'm sort of camera shy myself...shhh. So I know that feeling. But, your session will be super relaxed and without pressure. Your photos will be perfect!
-
Do you do video? If you are interested in doing video with your session or wedding, please contact me. My video style matches my photography, so the end result will blend together perfectly!

What's a Cake Smash?A Cake Smash is where you let your child (or adult) go crazy with a cake. They can put their toes or fingers in it, take a bite out of it, pick it up and flip it, throw it... no holds barred! Cake Smashes aren't limited to just cakes. It can be a favorite food or dessert! These sessions are usually done right before your child turns 1, but it can definitely be done for adults. Cake Smashes can be done in your home or location of your choice.
-
What happens after my session? After your session, your images are loaded and backed-up from the camera into my computer. Then they go into the queue to be edited in the order that they are photographed. For each client gallery, I dedicate at least 8 -12 hours to cull (pick out the best shots from your session) and edit your photos. If your gallery includes difficult shots, then more time may be needed to edit. After the final retouching, your photos are uploaded to your private online gallery where you and your family can order prints.
-
When will I see my images?Your password protected gallery will be available 2-4 weeks after your session and up to 4-6 weeks after your wedding.

How does payment work? After you choose your session or wedding date, I will send you an invoice for payment and the invoice will be due 3 days after you receive it. If your invoice isn't paid within those 3 days, it will be considered a cancellation and will be available for others. If you are booking me for a wedding or event at least 90 days in advance, there will be a 50% non-refundable retainer to hold your date and the remaining balance will be due 30 days prior to your scheduled event.
